Default Do uterine polyps need to be removed, what percent of them turn into cancer?

I am concerned that a D&C will only be temporary and the polyps will be benign and simply return again later. I don't want to have to return for another D&C if the procedure removes polyps only temporarily. So maybe I can just leave the polyps alone? Is this prudent to do?
