Default people I am scared here. I have a huge chance I have anal cancer, as I thought it...

...was bowel. I have the HPV? virus in me (herpies virus) and my bowel habbits have changed. In 2005 I had lots of blood in my diarea. Now I have mucus I am passing out all the time. I was just reading up on bowel cancer and cancer of the Anus came up. I have all the sypmtoms of that. I never even thought of cancer of the anus as I have never heard of it before. I am female of 38. My bowel motion has changed 180 degrees and my Feritin is depleted for no reason as I eat well, so I do not understand it. I hve a small lump in my anus and I am itching all the time 24/7 and the itchingness has spread to inside of me as well non stop. This is driving me crazy. I cannot stand it. My blood tests were all normal expect for my Ferritin. I do not have gastro as I was checked for that, and I have no infection or bug as I was checked for that too. I have a need to go to the toilet so much more frequently and when I do I pass stools that are so soft and mucusy all the time. I have a feeling I have cancer of the anus,
Tj no I do not have hemeroids I have been checked for that. Itisnot the bleeding anymore as it was 2 years ago and eary this year. The bleeding has ceesed, and now I have a lump in my anus that could mean cancer. Cancer runs in my family. I believe do do have it. I wil get my lump biopsied soon enough and to the person underneath no it is not worms I had that cheaked too. I beleive it is cancer. But I will except it if it is. Thanks

Chill - blood does not represent cancer.

There are three likely kinds, and stress can induce bloody stools too.

- Bright red blood - usually from tearing in the anal area. This could be if you had sex there, or simply if you ate a peanut that cut you on the way out.

- Darker blood - often the lining of the lower intestine - may be the result of a problem, or as simple as stress, but not automatically cancer.

- Black blood - assuming you can recognize it, this is the worse, although it doesn't mean cancer, but it means internal bleeding.

As for soft and mucusy, that's not cancer, that's probably a high-fat diet.

Check it out, but chill out - I'm pretty sure you don't have cancer if this is your only indication. Still, see a doctor. You may not want bad news, but once you know what it is you can deal with it. And it might be that you're perfectly fine.

You could also have some other intenstinal disorder. I think the cancer part is a reach, though.

Good luck!
