Where are the studies that connect this correleation? Is this a myth? I have never heard of this and this sounds like another attempt at homophobia at gay men by the medical community. Much like not taking blood from them.

Prostate Cancer is different than anal cancer. Anal cancer is cancer on the anus not on the prostate gland. I have never heard this. This sounds really homophobic to me. There are no studies to back this up at all. I am doing research on it now to find a connection -and there is none.
DBM, they, on cancer.org (one of the websites) state that contracting this form of cancer is unknown. So, how do they connect it with gay men, unless it's just an assumption.

Yaba, this is true. If gay men and straight men who have weakened immunse system due to HIV. This does not affect healthy gay men who have anal sex as most of htese studies lead one to assume.

The small amount of info I've seen online about it makes it sound like it's possibly caused by HPV. So gay men and women have a higher risk of anal cancer, and I think in most men, heterosexual or homosexual it increases the risk of penile cancer. So the same thing that causes uteran cancer in women may be responsible.

So that's what I've heard so far through the net, but don't quote me on it.

Well since anyone can get prostate cancer, it's possible that gay men get it too. I'm sure you are right that if it's said that we get it a lot more, it's probably slanderous, like how we can't donate blood... It's just sad that on the surface people are fake for gay people, but then things like "no blood from gay men" is supported. I just look at it as, screw you then, you can't have my CLEAN blood to save someones life. So when the Red Cross is doing that huge drive and hurting for blood, it's their own fault...

I suppose there is such a thing as anal cancer, wouldn't surprise me, as it seems you can get any type of cancer, and you get it from EVERYTHING. But it wouldn't surprise me if it's another one of those like "loose bowels" kind of statement towards us, to deter people from "choosing homosexuality" kind of thing...
