How painful is cystoscopy to detect bladder cancer? Ill effects of a cystoscopy?

Per my Dad who has had about 6 Cystos they aren't really that painful. He passes a little blood with each one but that is normal. Any pain he has can be helped with Tylenol. You want to avoid the aspirin and ibuprofen products as they can cause more bleeding for awhile.
