anyone know anything about bladder cancer? My mother is 65 and has been told she has hematuria - blood found in her urine and that it could be tumors. Is anyone familiar with bladder and kidney infections/cancers??? We are really worried.
She has had a CT scan of her kidneys and gallbladder and an ultrasound of her kidneys and gallbladder. My sister ask the doctor if it was a bladder infection and her said, "no, bladder tumors". Could he have seen something on the bladder with an ultrasound? He did not elaborate or anything so we just don't know how he could have said that and didn't do any blood work - just a urine test. We are taking her to see a urologist on Tues. - 2/6/07. I guess we will difinitely know then. I am praying that it is just some type of infection.
