Wanting to know how to detect throat cancer?

Hi, l'm really desperate to find out what the lump in the back of my throat is. I also have an inflamed gland on the side of my throat (neck). I have been to see dr's but they can't seem to find what it is, do you think this sounds like throat cancer??
