I think you thyroid gland might be in (or near) the throat. Does she have any flu or cold symptoms?
Usually with cancer there will be other symptoms, vomiting, nausea, diarrohea, loss of appetite etc
Hope everything works out okay.

small chance but we always worry - please go see dr with her right away - today almost everything caught in early stages is benign
