How about making an appointment with the Doctor. He will find out for you.
No point in asking these questions on YA.

Good luck.

Throat cancer would be unlikely. It is probably caused by your smoking.

Your voice may also be changing, too, considering you are only 16.

Do yourself a favor and give up smoking and see if it improves. If it doesn't, go to your doctor.

Throat cancer is only one of the types of cancers you may well end up with, if you continue to smoke.

keep a record of everything related to it. See how long it lasts. If it lasts for several months consistantly then I would talk to my parents and go to the doctor. Also if you are really worried that it might be cancer try quitting. I know how hard it is. I used to smoke too. I have been smoke free for almost 8 years now. WAHOOOO! I started when I was 15 and smoked for like 5 years. Good Luck you can do it if you really want to.

Yeah its just the voice changes, but keep in mind that its been studied that teenage boys are more likely to get cancer than anyone else, so that kinda triples your chances to get it cancer coupled with your smoking. Quit is all i can say.

The smoking is causing it, next will be the hacking smoking cough along with the hoarseness, and you will need a puffer to breath. You are at risk for COPD-lung disease Try to cut back and eventually quit. See your Dr. There are many alternatives ways to quit easily. I know it's hard I was a teen smoker. I could never imagine ever starting again. It's for your own sake, you are too young to feel this way.
