A few years ago, I noticed a strange "lump" on one of my testicles as well. I immediately thought the worst and scheduled a doctors appointment. It felt like it was shaped weird, different than the other and there was kind of a lump-thing. I got checked out and I was fine, the doc explained how they can be shaped different, etc. IT might be something like that, and it just so happened he never really felt around down there too much. Best of luck to your boyfriend, and to you.

Testicular cancer forms in a man's testicles, the two egg-shaped glands that produce sperm and testosterone. Testicular cancer mainly affects young men between the ages of 20 and 39. It is also more common in men who:

Have had abnormal testicle development
Have had an undescended testicle
Have a family history of the cancer
Symptoms include pain, swelling or lumps in your testicles or groin area. Most cases can be treated, especially if it is found early. Treatment options include surgery, radiation and/or chemotherapy. Regular exams after treatment are important. Treatments may also cause infertility. If you may want children later on, you should consider sperm banking before treatment.

Only thing, I think of, it's will be remove once of them and will leave other of them. And depend on thieir family history.
