I just read up on some preliminary trials on sorafenib and the data doesn't really jump out at me. It seems to have some benefit with disease stablization; there is some evidence of partial response in some patients. However, complete response and remission doesn't seem likely with this drug. Of course, it hasn't made it's way out of phase 3 trials yet so new information might become available. My overall impression is that it'll be an adjucant therapy to the already existing chemotherapies, but not something that will change current regimens or standards of practice.
