Default Why does society mainly focus on Breast Cancer for women? As a thyroid

cancer survivor at 24 this upsets me.?

I haven't noticed personally that there is more attention towards one type of cancer as opposed to another. I don't know very much about thyroid cancer (and by the way, congrats on your survival), but I do know that breast cancer is a huge threat (not saying that other cancer's aren't) and that maybe it is because it is so cureable. ( I don't know that thyroid cancer isn't) Maybe also because you hear of so many famous people fighting breat cancer these days. I think I hear about as much about colon cancer and lung cancer as well. Maybe it's a regoinal thing...such as these other cancers are more prevelant in my region because of environmental factor's? That's my thought on it anyways.
