I am so sorry to hear about your Mother-in-law and will say a prayer for all of you. Cancer is very strange I have heard of people being told they would die in a month and then live for several years but I have also heard of people who are told they will live several years and they die in days so you really don't know for sure. Remain strong as your partner is really going to need you. Losing your Mother hurts quite badly. My thoughts and prayers go with you.

Sorry to hear that...Its mailnly up to her if she will last that long...remember she is dealing with a hard disease...do you have her in Hospice? I use to work for them they were great with the patients and families....You may want to look into it....You may need to prepare (your family and children) for whats going to happen...Its going to be tough I wont lie to you..Keep strong for your husband and at his side...Do you have someone you can talk to as well? In the end she will be at ease...Some patients when they die they do it while no one is around cause they dont want you to see.....You and your family are in my prayers~God Bless~

Do you mean is it possible that the end could be that close? Yes. 2 Weeks is a best estimate that really means any day now to a month or 2.

Always remind yourself that that is not you laying there in horrible pain. doc might give her two weeks, but she only might have two days. Cancer is very painful with all the radiation and chemo. My heart has always been for the elderly and young people.Bless every cancer patient you might think that they need rest, but they need all family and friends so they do not feel so lost. I speak on behalf of my only sibling who is now dead.At 4yrs old he has had cancer. All my family are dropping like flies from rare types of cancer. My daughter and I so far have been lucky, but more and more i get sick. I do know what it is like to be ill and everyone may be around. but i still feel alone inside.Everyone needs to know that they are still loved and wanted every day of there life. For anyone to have a chat with them is a unconditional love they feel. They feel like they are still needed in this world. they hurt both emotionally & physically.!!!!!!!!!!!!Make them feel needed and to love are heavenly Father who will be showing her away to her where there is no pain or tears. God bless your heart!!

Once the other vital organs begin to fail, life becomes short. Other systems that may fail include the circulatory and respiratory systems, and liver failure. I would think she would not go on dialysis because of the end-stage pancreatic cancer. Please consider hospice.
