hpv and cervical cancer question?

i found out that i had hpv about 2 years ago. they found some precancerus cells when they did the pap. i was supposed to go back every six months and get another pap done. i havnt been in about a year and a half though. what are the chances that it has turned into cancer and what do they have to do if it has?
